The Hennessey Venom F5 Is Here And, Yeah, They Say It Will Hit 301 MPH
It could take the title of world’s fastest car.
The Hennessey Performance Venom F5 just made its world debut at the Specialty Equipment Market Show in Las Vegas, and we can’t help but bask in its ferocious beauty.
John Hennessey, founder and CEO of Hennessey Special Vehicles, has worked with his design team to create “the absolute fastest road car on earth,” according to the official press release.
The Hennessey team is developing an all new, twin turbo V8 engine that will deliver over 1600 bhp.
The Hennessey engine will be mated to a 7-speed single clutch paddle shift transmission and delivering power down to the rear tires.
The Venom will also feature an all new light weight chassis and all carbon fiber body, which will give the F5 a curb weight of 2,950 lbs.
The new F5 design features active aero that will yield a coefficient of drag of just 0.33
Hennessey says these attributes will allow the hypercar to hit 186 mph in less than 10 seconds and achieve a projected top speed that exceeds 300 mph.
Right now that’s all theoretical, unlike its strikingly good looks. Indulge in Venom F5’s magnificence above.
