Buy This Jeep Scrambler With a Custom Woody Body and Rule the Beach
Bonus: It already has the Surfrider Foundation stickers on it.
This amazing 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler hits all the right buttons, with its long Scrambler body wrapped in custom wood body panels that evoke Jeeps from 40 years earlier.
It is propelled by a Jeep 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine, as the off-roaders in Toledo intended. No small block Chevy to be found here. The transmission is a proper five-speed manual shift-it-yourself unit that will keep the poseurs at bay.
The wood is red oak, and the inlaid floors look better than those in your house.
Thanks to 2,000 hours of restoration work, this Scrambler is as perfect underneath as it iis up top, making it a very appealing entry in the upcoming Mecum auction in Kissimmee, Florida on January 11.
Mecum doesn’t list an expected price. But what price, perfection?
