The 500-HP ‘Rattletrap’ Jeep Wrangler Is The Off-Road Monster We Want Immediately
Holy crap.
The 5.9-liter Cummins diesel engine and the Jeep Wrangler are a match that everyone knows needs to happen, and Martin Barkey Racing Products has made our dreams come true with this custom-built 2007 Wrangler it calls ‘Rattletrap.’
That’s a twin-turbo version of the mighty Cummins six-cylinder we know and love from Ram trucks, pumped up to more than 500 horsepower and more than 1,000 lb.-ft. torque, putting the power to the ground through 44 × 19.5 Pit Bull Rocker Tires.
There’s a custom frame and suspension from Kat Kustoms to handle that power, and high-rise portal axles for maximum ground clearance.
The body is fully coated with Line-X bed liner spray, providing a distinctive, durable matte black finish that will take whatever you can dish out.
This Moab Jeep Easter Safari-ready beast is available for sale through duPont Registry, with an asking price of $225,000.
