Lamborghini Unveils Most Elite Urus SUV Yet

The Urus Performante Essenza SCV12 Edition is only available to owners of Lamborghini’s $3.5 million track-only supercar.

The 40 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 owners who shelled out $3.5 million each for the privilege of owning the Raging Bull brand’s first-ever track-only production supercar are already part of an extremely exclusive club. Now Lamborghini is thanking those select few with a chance to buy the most exclusive Urus ever.

Based on the same Urus Performante model that set the production SUV time record at the infamously dangerous Pikes Peak hill climb, each Essenza SCV12 is detailed to the customer’s wishes via Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization department.

However, all examples get a weight-saving body kit that renders the engine hood, roof, rocker covers, mirrors, and the frame in between the headlight clusters in either high-gloss or matte carbon fiber.

Customers can also choose shades for an exclusive two-tone livery comprised of a main paint coat that’s color-matched to whichever hue is selected for the carbon fiber body kit, a black coat on the bottom, and a contrasting color line on the roof arch.

“The Lamborghini Urus SCV12 Edition is the most expressive and detailed livery we have ever created,” Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini Head of Design, said in a statement.

“The livery of the Urus SCV12 is painted black in the lower part to deliver even sportier proportions on the Urus, and the exterior color is directly linked with the exclusive color of the Essenza SCV12, with a colored pinstripe connecting the front, side and rear graphically. The result is a stormy, unique and colorful limited series of Urus.”

The interior is trimmed in exclusive Nero Cosmus (black) Alcantara upholstery with leather details, carbon fiber decorations with a choice of glossy or matte finish, black anodized aluminum elements, and red handles. Essenza SCV12 logo-emblazoned kick plates and a serialized placard remind occupant’s of the ride’s unique spec.

As with all other Urus Performante models, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 cranks out 666 horsepower, good for a 3.3-second zero-to-60-mph time and a 190-mph top speed.

Lamborghini didn’t offer a price for the Urus Performante Essenza SCV12 Edition, but the prerequisite of owning the 819-horsepower Essenza SCV12 track car makes such information moot for most of us.
