Sometimes, rally drivers come into corners too hot and run over bystanders. This is not one of those times – barely.
In a small town in what we think is Portugal, several people are crowded around a corner when a rally-prepped Suzuki swings around the curve on two wheels, nearly flipping. The tension in the scene is immense (mortality is sobering), but some tactful leaning on the driver’s part ends the day safely, and the good-natured audience chuckles and claps, returning to their incredibly precarious positions beside an active racetrack.
