McLaren Just Unleashed Its Most Luxurious Car Ever
The Special Operations 570GT has everything from a titanium exhaust system to an electronic window tint.
McLaren Automotive was born from a Formula One racing team, and the company’s cars have always been track-focused sports machines worthy of the McLaren name. But there are customers who also appreciate traditional British luxury, aromatic hides and posh appointments like those found in Rolls-Royce and Bentley beauties.
So McLaren Special Operations division decided to show off its ability to construct an even more posh version of the 570GT, the most comfort-focused of McLaren’s models. The resulting “570GT by MSO Concept,” shown during Monterey Car week is the brand’s most luxurious and refined car ever, according to McLaren’s press statement.
That means installation of Saddle Tan leather upholstery, a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system and an automatic darkening electrochromatic roof panel.
Naturally, carbon fiber trim is mounted inside and out, and the car wears a titanium exhaust system that is 30 percent lighter than the standard exhaust, provides a deep exhaust note and turns that lovely distinctive blue when it heats up.
“With its Electro Chromic Roof especially, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept would be well suited to the needs and demands of customers in sunnier and warmer climates,” noted Paul Mackenzie, Executive Director of McLaren Special Operations. We suspect drivers even in cooler areas would love to get their hands on this sweet ride.
