This Blacked-Out Special Edition McLaren Is Evil Incarnate

Welcome to the dark side.

Most of us think McLaren‘s sports cars are pretty unique and distinctive, but apparently McLaren wants you to have the option for something just a bit more special, in case there’s someone else parking a McLaren in your building.

The solution is a custom-specified car built by McLaren Special Operations. Consider MSO’s 570GT MSO Black Collection. This is one of the company’s practical hatchback edition 570GTs, but trimmed in new MSO Bespoke Carbon Black exterior paint, MSO Defined Titanium SuperSports Exhaust and the Sport Pack dynamic handling package to help it stand apart from regular 570GTs.

To reduce the chance of you seeing another such car, McLaren will build just 100 of the $251,000 beauties.

The 570GT MSO Black Collection continues the obsidian theme to add MSO Defined Black Pack front and rear splitters, side skirts and air intakes.

The “5 Twin-Spoke Lightweight Forged Wheels”? Yep, they are coated in “Gloss Black Diamond Wheel Finish” The Brembo brake calipers are no garish yellow or red here. Nope. Black. Even the Pirelli P Zero Corsa Tires are black. What? Oh, never mind about the tires.

The cabin is trimmed in Jet Black Leather with Carbon Black Alcantara accents throughout.

If all this ebony goodness seems very stealthy, well, the MSO Defined Titanium SuperSports Exhaust is less so, because it is 5 decibels louder than the standard muffler. Using titanium does make it 11 pounds lighter.

“Black is a color associated with elegance, power and authority whilst also surrounded by a certain air of mystery,”Rob Melville, Design Director at McLaren Automotive. “The end result remains true to the luxurious nature of the 570GT but we managed to further amplify its sleek, sporty character with a wealth of new MSO Defined options which I am sure will delight discerning owners.”

We would love to find out about that for ourselves.
