The Mercedes Benz Arrow Granturismo Yacht is Making Waves
This 46-foot-long silver streak is a floating pleasure palace.
In the gorgeous wake of modern yachts built by Aston Martin and Bugatti, Mercedes Benz dives into the exotic auto-inspired boat game with its impossibly sleek Arrow 460 Granturismo Edition Yacht.
Birthed as a concept unveiled at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show, the 46-foot long pleasure craft was recently spotted on its maiden voyage swanning around the French Riviera, and production models are reportedly selling for about $2 million apiece.
The 960 horsepower Arrow runs on twin Yanmar diesel engines that reach a top speed of more more than 40 knots. Designed to combine the best of an open boat and a hull cabin cruiser, it seats 10 people and boasts retractable windows to offer unfettered 360-degree views, as well as windscreens to buffer against pesky gales whipped up when this waterborne beauty goes full throttle.
If passengers tire of soaking in the dazzling seascape, they can go below deck to ogle the wine cellar, separate dressing room, bathroom, high-end audio system, extendable tables and beds, ice-making machine and fine grain eucalyptus wood and leather interiors.
Dubbed the “Silver Arrow of the Seas”, the stunning yacht is destined to turn heads at marinas around the world, with Mercedes boldly claiming in its announcement that the Arrow embodies “sensual purity on water” — which sounds about right, as we’re fairly certain that any parties hosted on this yacht would be pretty sexy indeed.
