Meet the 8-Wheeled Russian Monster That’s the Ultimate All-Terrain Vehicle
WANT.
The Russian-made Avtoros Shaman is a freakishly mighty, eight-wheeled beast that can rampage through snow, ice, water, woods, swamps… and pretty much any other terrain it damn well wants to.
At 18 feet long, 9 feet tall and nearly eight feet wide, it’s not your everyday ATV. It’s powered by a 3.0 litre turbo diesel engine that propels this beast through impossibly raw conditions like a giant mechanized Russian bear.
Just check out this promotional video scored to stirring Game of Thrones-style music.
Designboom has more details here, in case you wanna put an order in:
The ATV’s unique steering system has three different settings, allowing the driver (from the captain’s chair) to switch between ‘on-road’ (front four-wheel drive), ‘off-road’ (active rear wheel steering), and ‘crab’ mode (turning all eight wheels in sync to move sideways). –according to those who have driven the monster. ‘pretty easy to drive.’ The ‘Shaman’ can scale 45-degree inclines, carry up to 1.5 tons of cargo, and is actually pretty easy to drive, according to those who have driven the monster.
The 8×8 beast has polygonal frame and an industrial chic vibe that recalls other giant Russian-made ATVs, like the scary-ass SHERP ATV seen here:
Keep in mind they take two months to make and every one is fully customizable.
