The Onyx Blade Is a Custom Yamaha Fit For ‘The Terminator’

Say hello to the post-apocalyptic bike known as the Onyx Blade, built by custom kings Rough Crafts and based on the Yamaha MT-07 roadster.

The bike’s eight-valve dohc 689 cc parallel-twin engine, already good enough to smoke most things short of a Ducati, gets K&N Filters and an Akrapovič exhaust.

From there it was mostly a matter of stripping away the superfluous design flourishes Yamaha has indulged in, leaving something that looks suited for The Terminator himself.

That involved replacing a good portion of the bodywork with more angular matte-black aluminum pieces.

Then the front end was modified by shortening and stiffening the forks and adding new sharper-looking covers.

The finishing touches come in the form of an instrument panel on the gas tank, a headlight grille, and new seat, all in the same matte dark grey.
