As the Porsche Taycan continues to outsell Teslas and even its own 911 stablemate, the German marque is expanding its first EV model range with a GTS variant that combines upgraded performance with added luxury.

Both the Taycan GTS sedan and GTS Sport Turismo wagon have a motor on each axle (single-speed up front, two-speed in back) that make a combined 590 hp, slotting them between the 462-hp Taycan 4S and the 670-hp Taycan Turbo.

Porsche claims a 60-mph sprint in 3.5 seconds, but Car and Driver predicts the tested time will be closer to 3 seconds flat.

More aggressive aesthetic differences distinguishing the Taycan GTS rides include sportier side skirts and front fascia, a high-gloss black inlay on the diffuser, black tint on the rear lightbar and headlights, and a satin-black finish on the Taycans’ 20-inch rims.

Additionally, the GTS Cross Turismo wagon gets an optional Panoramic Roof with variable light control, a body color-matched rear spoiler, and clad-less wheel arches.

The higher-end interior is clad in black-brushed aluminum bits and kickplates, and Race-Tex fabric on the seats, wheel and headliner. The available GTS Interior package adds contrasting red and gray accents throughout, as well as carbon fiber pieces on the steering wheel, door panels and center console.

Priced from $132,750 and $134,650, the 2022 Porsche Taycan GTS sedan and Sport Turismo wagon are available to purchase now.
