Raise A Glass To The 2023 Indian Motorcycle X Jack Daniel’s Chief Bobber Dark Horse

Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 inspired Indian’s badass limited edition bike, which was made with whiskey-infused paint.

Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s annual custom bike collab has proven just as reliably refreshing as an Old No. 7-branded bottle of Tennessee whiskey.

Recent installments of these booze-inspired bikes often hail from Indian’s touring and bagger classes, from this borderline-blingy Chieftain featuring real whiskey barrel wood to the Gentleman Jack-inspired Roadmaster Dark Horse and this “Rye Metallic” Challenger.

But the seventh collab between America’s oldest active distillery and motorcycle manufacturer aptly pays homage to Old No. 7, Jack Daniel’s core and most popular offering. And just as Old No. 7 is a straightforward, no-frills whiskey, Indian has fittingly selected one its stripped-down “bobbed” cruisers as a canvas on which to pour a little Jack Daniel’s flair.

Klok Werks Kustom Cycles out of Mitchell, South Dakota helped bring several exclusive flourishes to the 2023 Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, which already reigns as the best-equipped variant in Indian’s Chief range of cruisers with a massive air-cooled 116-cubic-inch (1,890)-cc V-twin and Indian’s four-inch Ride Command touchscreen.

JD branding is emblazoned throughout. The fenders and exhaust feature the signature of the brand’s eponymous founder, while “Old No. 7” badges appear between the cylinders, within the rear portion of the frame and on the black solo seat.

Additionally, the old-school Indian “I” script adorns both sides of the tank, and there’s a Montana Silversmiths Badge with each bike’s unique serial number. High gloss black and grays cover the majority of the visible components, but the cylinders, heads, pushrod tubes and rocker box cover are painted silver for a raw metal look.

And for the first time, each limited edition bike is also completely painted by hand, using a Super Graphite paint infused with actual Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 whiskey.
