This Rally Car Stops, Drops, and Explodes

Sometimes, you’ve had enough.

The standard Ford Fiesta is a very good small car, and its rally-prepped brothers have, usually, made stellar racecars. However, Elfyn Evans’ M-Sport Fiesta experienced a couple of troubles at the Rally de Portugal. First, the car’s throttle was unreliable, plaguing Evans in the early trials, and then, the front axle broke and the car caught on fire. Coming in too fast through a turn, Evans hit a bank and damaged his front suspension and an oil line. Evans, seemingly unaware of the catastrophic damage, continued to rev the little engine, until the car, with front wheels askew, stops completely and explodes.

No one was hurt, but let this be a lesson: push your car to the limits, but not past them.
