‘Bellissima’ Is A Beautiful Book All About Rare Italian Cars
The racy tome celebrates the world’s wildest vintage rides.
Nashville’s the place to be this summer, not for music but cars – the city’s Frist Center for the Visual Arts will be staging Bellissima: The Italian Automotive Renaissance 1945–1975 celebrating some of the most beautiful vehicles ever built, from May 27–Oct. 9.
Can’t make it to Music City? Not to worry, here are our five favorite pieces of automotive art from the exhibit, courtesy of Skira Rizzoli, which is publishing a companion volume (available for pre-order on Amazon), in itself almost as good as a trip to the museum:
1. 1970 Lamborghini Miura S
2. Alfa Romeo BAT concept cars, 1953–55
3. 1952 Lancia B52 Aurelia PF200 Spider
4. 1946 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 S (1 of 1)
5. 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero
