Leicester, England’s Sinjora Motorcycles (remember when Leicester City Football Club won the English Premier League last year?) has made this 1993 BMW R100 R a far more serious piece of kit by grafting on exactly the right parts.

Just as importantly, Rahul and Birju Sinjora knew what to remove, trimming away the excess until only the fundamentals of a cafe racer remained. That’s when they started bolting on upgraded parts, Rahul told Return of the Cafe Racers.

“We decided the bike was going to have a cafe racer stance with custom welded subframe, clip ons, fat tires, wire wheels, a crazy exhaust, Motogadget electrics and a dark theme with contrasting flat baby blue paint.” said Rahul.

A massive fork borrowed from a Yamaha R1 leads the way, fastened in place by custom-machined triple clamps. A custom-valved Hagon shock handles the rear suspension, and high-performance EBC brake rotors contribute to the stopping capability.

The custom exhaust pipes hug the frame to stay unobtrusively out of the way. The mufflers are complemented by subtle LED lights.

Acclaim from the R3 and its R1 and R2 predecessors has provided the Sinjora brothers a full order book, so we look forward to seeing their future creations.
