A new, non-Tyler-owned Venom GT lists for $1.3 million, and the starting bid for this car is $1.1 million. That money gets you the world’s fastest convertible, as test at California’s Naval Air Station Lemoore, where it blasted 266 mph with the roof off.
The former American Idol judge is auctioning off his black beauty to raise money for his Janie’s Fund charity. Janie’s Fund aims “to bring hope and healing for many of our country’s most vulnerable girls who have suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect.” So your purchase will be for a good cause, and not just for it owner to blow every other car off the road.
The 1,451-horsepower twin-turbo V8 supercar vaults to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, so you’ll be able to back up the Venom’s devastatingly fast look at stoplights, if need be. And it has the endorsement of a famous rock singer. “It’s incredibly fast, it’s crazy, it drives well,” Tyler said.
Of course he says he’s only gone 140 mph in the car, which leaves the new owner another 126 mph more to experience in it. Don’t worry about stranding Tyler, he can still ride his Confederate motorcycle to get around.
