Triumph Celebrates 60 Years Of 007 With Bond Edition Motorcycle
License to thrill.
Maxim declared the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR the prettiest motorcycle the British brand has ever produced after riding the spectacular sport bike on the The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in Nashville. The combo of killer looks and lethal power make it a perfect platform on which to celebrate James Bond’s 60th anniversary.
Dressed in black and two tones of gray, the limited-edition bike marks the official partnership between Triumph and the Bond franchise that was minted for the release of 2021’s No Time to Die.
But while a previous Triumph x Bond Scrambler 1200 paid homage to a specific special edition featured under Daniel Craig in his final outing as 007, this one memorializes all 25 Bond movies in their original fonts on the top of the tank.
The movie title script is flanked by “60 Years of Bond” logos on both sides of the tank, while the front fairings’ gun barrel rifling-like swirls serve as a nod to the famed opening sequence from the films.
A tasteful application of hand-painted gold detailing—from the triangular Triumph logo on the side fairing to the pinstripe on the tail—provides elegant contrast and cohesion in matching the Ohlins front forks.
Because only 60 will be made, they’re also numbered accordingly on a new handlebar clamp badge and a certificate of authenticity hand-singed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor. A custom 007 bike cover rounds out the superspy celebrations.
Riding the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition doesn’t require a license to kill, but serious two-wheeled prowess is recommended.
A fierce 177 horsepower is developed in a 1,160cc, three-cylinder that will feel comfortable only to seasoned sport bike riders who can appreciate its suite of performance parts, including race-developed Brembo brakes, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires, a lightweight cast-aluminum chassis, and state-of-the-art Optimized Cornering ABS and Optimized Cornering Traction Control systems.
The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition’s landing page is currently down, but Cycle World reports an MSRP of $24,995.
