Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled a trio of Street Triple bikes that are sure to kickstart the hearts of fans of the famed British brand.
These bikes get bigger, 765cc three-cylinder engines to replace the outgoing bike’s 675cc engines, rated at between 111 horsepower and 121 hp, depending on configuration.
The Street Triple S is the entry model, with 111 hp, upgraded brakes, tires, and suspension and a two mode (Road and Rain) electronic control system.
The Street Triple R bumps power to 115 hp, adds Brembo radial-mount brakes and enjoys two additional riding modes, Sport, and Rider Programmable.
The Street Triple RS is the flagship, at 121 horsepower, a Track riding mode and higher-specification forks, shock and brakes.
The R and RS models also get a color instrument display and the RS has a quickshift system for faster gear changes.
The Street Triple is Triumph’s naked, unfaired model in the mold of the Speed Triple, but with a more serious sporting capability based on hardware from the Daytona sport bike. U.S. pricing starts at $9,000.
“These three models are designed to be the most addictive, explosive, exhilarating, agile and intuitive performance street motorcycles Triumph has ever made,” pledged Miles Perkins, Triumph’s head of brand management.
We can’t wait to find out for ourselves.
