Goldberg Returns to ‘Raw’ and Vows Brock Lesnar Will Be His Next and Last Fight

Let’s get it on.

Goldberg made his long-awaited return to Raw Monday night and did what what we all knew he would—accept Brock Lesnar’s challenge to meet him in WWE ring.

“I thought to myself, maybe I have one more ass kicking left in me. I thought to myself, maybe I have one badass spear left in me. I thought to myself, maybe I have one last devastating jackhammer in me,” Goldberg said from the center of the squared circle.

Despite his superstar status, Goldberg was never known as a dynamo in the ring, but the former NFL player and two-time world champ always won fans with his badass attitude, and it was no different on Monday. He was all snarls and growls, and the arena was eating out of his paw by the time he delivered his final line:

“Brock Lesnar, not only does that mean that you’re next, but most importantly, it means, Brock Lesnar, you’re last.”

Wrestling fans need to prepare themselves not only for Goldberg’s return, but for his immediate farewell. And by the looks of the guy’s training regimen, he’s ready to go out with a slow, methodical bang. He recently posted videos on Instagram of practice sessions that show off his striking and defense. While the action appears to be slow motion, it’s not. Goldberg’s just 49 years old.

Lesnar, meanwhile, has said nothing about Goldberg accepting his challenge. Perhaps he’s too concerned with the verbal haymakers thrown his way Monday by UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
