Mike Tyson Gets Demonic in Hype Video for Deontay Wilder Vs. Tyson Fury II
“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
Mike Tyson stars in a wild new hype video promoting the February 22 heavyweight championship rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury–and the former “Baddest Man on the Planet” doesn’t disappoint.
The legendary ex-heavyweight champ kicks off the clip with his famous quote, “Everybody has a plan before they get punched in the mouth” before sprouting devil horns and flashing red eyes in the riotous, animation-filled video from BT Sport. Check it out here:
With video of the first fight playing in the background, the boxing icon adds: “Wilder destroyed him, unleashing hell, the wrath of the devil in gloves. He baptized him.
“But Fury’s no angel. Angel’s don’t come back. He had too much guts. Fury’s resurrection changed the fate of two fighters forever.
“Everyone knows what’s coming. But no one knows how it’s going to go.”
The first Fury vs. Wilder fight ended in a highly-entertaining, controversial split draw between the two undefeated heavyweight stars in 2018, with the hard-punching Wilder nearly knocking out Fury before he freakishly got up off the canvas, and the craftier Fury outboxing Wilder for long stretches of the fight,
Meanwhile, during the build-up to the hugely-anticipated February 22 rematch, Fury was asked whether Wilder, who is 42-0-1 with 41 knockouts, is a bigger puncher than Tyson, reports Sportbible.Â
“Numbers don’t tell lies,” Fury answered. “This man’s knockout ratio alone says that he is the greatest puncher in boxing history, in the heavyweight division.”
Looks like even Mike Tyson isn’t ready to make a call about who will be victorious in the rematch just yet, though many boxing insiders are betting that Wilder’s devastating punching power could get him the win.
