The Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald leads the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2019

Fellow players including Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard, Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah, and Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen voted the star defensive tackle in at No. 1.

Donald, who set a single-season record for a DT with a league-high 20.5 sacks, is the second defensive player in nine years to come out on top of the annual rankings, according to Yahoo Sports

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack took the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Donald’s teammate, running back Todd Gurley, round out the top five.

For the first time ever, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wasn’t named as a top-five player by his peers. At No. 6, he’s still one of four Patriots to appear on the list, NBC Boston notes.
