Ronda Rousey is making her long-awaited return to the Octagon on December 30 and new photos posted on her Instagram indicate we should believe her hashtag about UFC 207: #fearthereturn.

Rousey, working down to a bantamweight 140, is every bit the ripped and fearsome-looking warrior fans might hope to see.

Rousey will need every ounce of power in those newly-bulked out back muscles. Meanwhile, her opponent, current champ Amanda Nunes, seems more than ready to face the woman who along with Conor McGregor really put MMA on the map.

Holly Holm, the fighter responsible for Rousey’s most shocking defeat, told MMAWeekly she considered the upcoming Nunes-Rousey match “a wildcard.”

“I feel like anybody can win in this game,” Holm reportedly said, “We’re all fighting against the top fighters in the world, and anything can happen, and everybody is just a person, and anybody can be beat.”

The winner, according to Holm, will “depend on what Ronda we see.”

The Ronda we see looks ready to tear her opponent to pieces. One thing’s for sure: whatever happens on December 30, 2016, it will undoubtedly be interesting.
