Tom Brady Finally Lands the ‘Madden NFL 18’ Cover

But will the 'Madden Curse' come back to haunt Touchdown Tom?

Eighteen years after the New England Patriots selected him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, Tom Brady will receive the highest honor in the game of football. He’s going to be on the cover of Madden

The reigning Super Bowl MVP is the Madden 18 cover boy, EA Sports announced Friday. The video game giant also announced plans to for what it’s calling a G.O.A.T. edition, which gives players access to “one of five G.O.A.T. players of their choice for Madden NFL 18 Ultimate Team.”

As for the supposed curse that afflicts those who appear on the cover of Madden, Brady says that he’s not “I’m not one to believe in curses, so I’m ready to take the challenge head on like always! It doesn’t stand a chance,” he said in a statement.

Brady is bold, especially after seeing first hand the dangers that come with a Madden cover. Brady’s teammate Rob Gronkowski was on the cover of Madden 17. And how was his last season? He had the least productive year of his career after suffering a hamstring injury, a pulmonary contusion and a a herniated disk.
