Michael Bisping might be done as a UFC star. At least for now. UFC Fight Night 122 in Shanghai proved to be a reckoning for the one-time middleweight champ, and in an embarrassing way.
It hasn’t even been a month since Bisping lost badly to Georges St-Pierre but his Shanghai bout against Kelvin Gastelum was the main card, Bisping filling in for Anderson Silva.

Silva was dropped after tests showed he’d likely used banned substances.
The match didn’t last long, and the video shows why. Early in the first round Gastelum connected with a killer left, and Bisping was done.

In post-fight comments Gastelum said this match was “the biggest one of my career.”
“I have a huge amount of respect for Bisping for stepping up,” he said.
As for Bisping, he congratuled this opponent and said, “Job well done tonight. I was enjoying myself, and he caught me with a good shot.”
“God bless Kelvin,” he continued, “He’s young. I’ve done this for a long time. I’m getting old.”
Bisping isn’t done yet. He reportedly plans to retire following UFC Fight Night 127, which happens in March, 2018 in London, England.
