Adidas Winterizes Stan Smith With GORE-TEX For Cold Weather Wear
Bringing the latest GORE-TEX tech to the iconic white leather tennis sneakers.
Adidas Originals is once again teaming up with Gore-Tex to create a cold-weather version of the iconic Stan Smith silhouette, using the waterproof, windproof fabric’s latest insulation technology to create the Stan Smith x Gore-Tex Infinium Thermium.
While this isn’t the first time that Gore-Tex and Stan Smith have joined forces, it’s the most high-tech iteration yet. Infinium Thermium is an ultra-thin membrane that’s integrated into the toebox to provide insulation where it’s needed most, while allowing the rest of the foot to breathe.
Adidas Originals has rendered the classic Stan Smith tennis shoe in its most famous colorway, featuring an all-white leather upper with a contrasting green Trefoil logo heel tab and a classic white rubber cupsole.
Perforated 3-stripe marks and signature Stan Smith tongue branding complete the look, while a Gore-Tex branded woven label and embossed Gore-Tex Infinium logo on the heel underpin the shoe’s technical pedigree.
The icy cool collab blends the latest in winter weather innovation with one of the world’s most beloved white leather tennis sneakers, so Stan Smith aficionados can look fresh even during the coldest weather.
The Stan Smith x Gore-Tex Infinium Thermium drops worldwide on October 5. For more Gore-Tex sneaker collabs, check out Nike’s new Air Force 1 Gore-Tex.
