These stylish all-black beauties really pop.

In recent years, the Ultra Boost has become one of the most recognizable sneakers from Adidas. Its silhouette has been well suited for Adidas’ trendy Primeknit material and, as it turns out, collaborations with upstart style brands.

Adidas just dropped an all-new “triple-black” Ultra Boost made in collaboration with buzzy Canadian outfit Haven. Turns out the gorgeously gloomy look was inspired by the perennially grey skies of Vancouver.

These black beauties do away with the Ultra Boost cage to allow the Primeknit some breathing room. The all-black colorway also means that the fine details, like the leather tongue and textured soles that vaguely mimic cobblestones. Which makes sense as they seem ideal for hitting the streets at night.

There’s also minimal branding with a much smaller Adidas logo than usual and just one Haven emboss on the tongue. Thus, the play with different patters—knit, leather and texturized rubber—is what gives this sneaker its kick.

The adidas Consortium x HAVEN Ultra Boost will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis at HAVEN Toronto & HAVEN Vancouver on April 1 for $200 a pop. But expect them to make they way onto online re-sellers soon, with a significant price markup, of course.
