Nike is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Space Jam, the greatest sports movie the world has ever seen, in the best possible way — with a brand new Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’ release.
Nike Kicks reports, citing sources, that the Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’ will return late in 2016 in the iconic sneaker’s first release since 2009.
Most reports point to a December release, but considering that Space Jam first premiered on November 15th, 1996, it’s likely we’ll get a pair of these bad boys a bit earlier than we expected.
You already knew that the the ‘Space Jam’ 11 get their name from their central role in the film, but it’s worth noting that Jordan actually debuted the slick colorway against the Orlando Magic during the 1995 Playoffs before adopting them as his official game shoe in the subsequent season (the Chicago Bulls lost).
