Switzerland’s annual Baselworld 2018–which is basically the Super Bowl for watch geeks–premiered a slew of of awesome new luxury timepieces this year, some of which might cost more than your house.

Offerings from Omega, Rolex, TAG Heuer, Breitling and more are bound to become instant classics for collectors while more eccentric options aimed at wealthy collectors, like Bell & Ross‘ transparent sapphire timepiece and Hublot‘s World Cup-themed smartwatch, might just be crazy enough to work.

Bell & Ross BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon Sapphire Black

The BR-X1 from Bell & Ross is made of five blocks of sapphire crystal. Its skeletonized appearance puts every movement of the timepiece on full display. Breitling Chronomat B01 Chronograph 44 in Steel

Those searching for a superlative dive watch found it in the Chronomat 44 from Breitling. Best known for their aviation watches, the Swiss brand nonetheless made this chronograph to resist water pressure down to 1,650 feet.

Omega also celebrated an anniversary of its own, 25 years of the Seamaster Diver 300M. The design, inspired by the ocean, is still there, but this iteration is sized at 42 mm and includes a ceramic bezel.

Casio has only created 25 pieces of this connected MR-G model, which is distinguished by a hammer tone pattern called “Arashi-Tuchime” from artisan Bihou Asano. It has three-way time sync, powered by Bluetooth Connectivity, the G-SHOCK app and G-SHOCK’s GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor technology. The latter also measures time and location from anywhere on earth.

TAG Heuer let personalized watch maker Bamford trick out its iconic Monaco chronograph, known for its square case. They gave it luminescent blue subdial counters, minute track and dates and pitted them against a black dial. Its case is made of solid carbon.
