Showtime’s ‘Billions’ Teams With Greats For Decadent New Sneaker Collab
These luxurious kicks live up to the show’s title with the colors “Power Black” and “Money Green.”
For the second time, the hit Showtime series Billions is teaming up with the luxe sneaker brand Greats for a rich new take on their Court silhouette.
Inspired by Bobby “Axe” Axelrod — the self-made hedge fun billionaire the show is based on — the new sneakers are handmade in Italy and have an Italian suede and leather upper with rubber soles.
“Billions” is emblazoned on the side of the shoe as well as on the tongue — in gold lettering, of course, and gold aglets add to the billionaire-centric vibe.
Each pair has a secret message on the footbed that’s only visible under blacklight, which comes in the package.
“The Greats never sacrifice the important for the urgent, they handle the immediate problem,” the message reads.
The sneakers retail for $199 and come in two baller colors: “Power Black” and “Money Green.”
Even the sleek, all-black box looks expensive.
“We admire Axe for his ambition as much as we do for his style,” the folks at Greats explain about the billionaire inspiration behind the sneaker.
“Favoring a well-worn pair of jeans and Metallica t-shirt over the obvious power-suit, Axe carries himself with the confidence and understated elegance that we appreciate.”
The Billions x Greats collection launches Wednesday, March 20th at 12 p.m. EDT, but you better act quick if you want a pair, because there’s only a limited supply.
