The Breitling Avenger Hurricane Is Here To Rock Your Wrist

Not only does this militaristic Swiss stunner look sharp, it’s waterproof up to 300 feet.

A new offering from Breitling is bold, splashy and unapologetically brutish—just how we like it.

The Breitling Avenger Hurricane immediately turns heads with its blacked-out colorway and oversized 50 mm dial.

Look closer, and you’ll notice its breakthrough new case material: a new proprietary alloy the Swiss watch giant is calling “Breitlight.” It is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel.

Even so, the high-tech material maintains durability. The watch is waterproof down to 300 feet, belying its lightweight feel.

Watch aficionados will detect plenty of other fine features. The timepiece works with a self-winding chronograph and bears a bold-faced military-time display.

Its sapphire crystal is glare-proof on both sides, allowing those bright yellow accents to really pop. Its strap combines a yellow rubber core with “high-resistance black Military textile fiber” on its exterior.

The Breitling Avenger Hurricane will retail for $8,390 when it hits stores in April.
