Last year, Coverse’s classic Chuck Taylor got its first major upgrade since it was introduced in 1917. While much of the style was preserved, the iconic sneaker was outfitted with a new Nike sockliner and perforated suede for a cozier and more breathable shoe. Now, we’re seeing some serious style innovations with a new luxe, leathered-out edition.
The new “Car Leather” Chuck II comes with quilted leather uppers, inspired by the lush interiors of high-end sports cars.
It works with the recognizable Chuck Taylor silhouette, but its distinguishable trademark is missing to keep things mad classy.
There are three versions: one is in all black, another is in all white, and the wild horse of the pack comes with a brown upper, a black tongue, and white sole.
The Converse Chuck II Hi QS Car Leather is available in stores, and the all-black option is selling online at KITH.
