Seattle-based outdoor outfitter Filson is best known for its tough-as-nails twill bags. Now the company has created a gorgeous new weatherproof leather that can withstand the elements and still look sharp as ever.
The new collection features four classic pieces to start with, available in Filson stores and online at Filson.com as of July 15. Filson worked the 100-year-old Wicket & Craig tannery in Pennsylvania to develop the new vegetable-tanned proprietary leather that’s both highly durable and lightweight.
The tough hide can repel rain, snow and saltwater, and the bags are built with solid brass fittings and Bridle Leather straps for further endurance.
Prices range from $750 for the Journeyman Backpack and Original Briefcase to $950 for a Medium Duffle and $1,250 for the Medium Rolling Carry-On Bag.
So let it rain….
