Two of G-Shock‘s rugged watches are getting a militaristic makeover as a part of the Casio-owned brand’s tough new Street Utility Military Series.
The first is a take on the on the classic square-shaped DW5600 in two utilitarian colorways: a military green band with a black face, and a gray band with a black face. The model still features staple built-in functions including an EL backlight and Flash Alert.
The circular-shaped GA2000 that was previously offered in bright red, yellow and blue hues for Spring of 2019 is also getting the Street Utility Military treatment with either green or blue camouflage faces. The model’s large tactile side buttons, Carbon Core Guard Case, Super LED light and detachable black band structures are retained.
Both models also boast a new layered bezel structure crafted through a two-part molding process that separates the top and base, making the the component stronger than ever before.
And as with previous releases from the Casio-owned brand, all examples in the Street Utility Military Series get the following standard G-Shock features:
- Shock Resistant
- 200M Water Resistance
- Stopwatch
- Flash Alert
- 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch
- Multi-Function Alarm
- Countdown Timer
- 12/24 Hr. Formats
The DW500- and GA2000-based Street Utility Military variants are priced at $110 and $130, respectively. Both arrive at G-Shock retailers and online this month.
