The Met Gala is a gala’s gala. Thrown to celebrate the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual exhibit, it’s consistently packed with star power, risqué fashions, and, of course, the paparazzi who love them. Last night’s Met Ball, which was themed “China: Through the Looking Glass,” was no different. Rita Ora channeled an illicit Red Riding Hood, J. Lo pioneered side butt, Rihanna wore a dress that brought trains to a whole new level, and Beyoncé showed up late and in a sheer, bedazzled skin-tight number. (I think she also invented the Beyoncé Entrance, which is the polar opposite of the Irish Exit.) Click through for our favorite looks from last night’s fête, where beautiful elbows rubbed other beautiful elbows.
