In a fine display of exotic auto-inspired watches, Hublot’s partnership with Ferrari is producing their most gorgeous timepieces yet.
The updated Big Bang UNICO line will include models in Titanium, Carbon and (don’t call it rose) King Gold. Each sport a cleaner brushed bezel, which—as opposed to previous models—better balances the intricate mechanized details within its skeletonized dial.
It’s hard to miss such Ferrari homages as the prancing horse logo at 6 O’Clock, the tachometer-like subdial and the word “Ferrari” emblazoned across the left-side profile of the case.
But other references amongst its hundreds of painstakingly hand-assembled parts are more subtle, such as the red stitching along the black rubber straps or the seconds counter meant to resemble a Ferrari air intake.
Collectively only 2,000 of these watches will be made. Half will be in the Titanium ($26,200). And like the LaFerrari itself, a limited run of 500 each in the Carbon ($28,300) and the King Gold ($42,000).
Unlike the actual autos, these go from 0 to 60 in one minute. But it’s still mesmerizing from any angle.
