IWC Gets Dark With Big Pilot ‘Black Carbon’ Edition

IWC

IWC

With its new Big Pilot Watch, IWC introduces something that looks like it was designed specifically for pilots of stealth fighter jets. The “Black Carbon” edition is squarely in that sweet spot so many IWC-Schaffhausen models own: Durable, rugged, yet elegant and neutral, ideally designed for a night on the town or a secret mission.

Some of the choice features include a soft-iron inner case protected from magnetic fields, a generous power reserve of up to one week (including a display to help track power levels), date display at the 6 o’clock position and sapphire glass with doubled anti-reflective coating.

The Black Carbon was built in Switzerland and it measures a stout 46.5mm. Also within its matte carbon case: IWC’s distinctive 52110 caliber, the exquisitely-designed movement responsible for those 7 days of power reserve.

Some additional specs per IWC’s website:

Most important to note: Only 100 models will be sold and it’s exclusively available at IWC boutiques. The Black Carbon Big Pilot’s watch retails for $17,500 USD
