J.Crew has an abiding partnership with New Balance, which has brought about some classic white gum sole sneakers and some seriously elevated activewear.

Its latest collabo, the 998 “National Parks” Pack, mines inspiration from iconic American landscapes, namely Death Valley and Crater Lake.

There are two 998 sneakers, one evoking the sun-scorched landscapes of the Mojave Desert with suede and mesh in varying shades of earthy brown.

The cooler option (literally) is a 998 that conjures up images of Crater Lake in Oregon with suede and mesh in a range of vivd blues.

Whichever you pick comes down to one question: fire or ice?

Each pair would likely last in you in either rugged terrain. They boast proprietary Abzorb tech material, which absorbs shocks and provides extra cushioning.

Better yet, for every pair bough, J.Crew and New Balance will donate $10 to the National Parks Foundation. Suddenly, sneaker heads are gonna be all about park preservation.

Get your pair on the J.Crew website for $180 beginning January 26.
