Things are heating up in the kitchen, at least in matters of style, when it comes to the latest season of smash Hulu hit “The Bear,” as threads favored by “Carmy” Berzatto arrive via a new J. Crew collaboration.
Already a noted wearer of a J. Crew cable knit sweater in the show’s second season, Jeremy Allen White’s Berzatto and co. now sport a fresh set of rugged workwear styles from the acclaimed American brand. Fittingly, Ricky Staffieri’s Theodore Fak appears both on screen and in a new J. Crew campaign trumpeting the partnership.
The collaboration draws on functional workwear looks and features a durable T-shirt, retro-leaning trucker hat, canvas jacket and sweatshirt, each as ready for summer’s adventures (and kitchen mishaps) as the last. Fans of “The Bear” might also recognize creator and director Chris Storer from an appearance in a J. Crew social media campaign last summer, further driving home the stylish crossover.
The third season of the critically acclaimed show drew a Hulu-record 5.4 million views in its first four days, as fans clamored for a new look into the life of the famously intense Chicago restaurant kitchen. And fans appear to have snapped up the latest J. Crew collaboration in similar fashion, as styles like its “Matter of Fak” workwear jacket have sold out online.
There’s good news for fans of the hit TV show, however: Flagship J. Crew stores in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago are also selling the crisp, restaurant-ready duds., The collection also includes a sturdy, bonfire-approved 14oz. fleece heritage sweatshirt and a dependable trucker hat, each of which would reliably serve Theodore Fak and co. in the kitchen and on the streets of Chicago. For now, the best way to enter the world of “The Bear” is through J. Crew menswear — thank you, Chef.
