The J. Crew X Men in Cities Bracelet Is a Perfect First Step

We know guys get nervous around jewelry, but these beads are really soothing.

Niche-brand/national-powerhouse collaborations have been on the rise—we loved Uniqlo’s work with Michael Bastian—and one of the latest is coming to a rarified genre, men’s jewelry. Junior House of American Clean-Cuttery (Ralph Lauren is Papa)  J. Crew has teamed up with high-style accessories manufacturer Men in Cities to produce a line of charmingly rustic, low-gloss bracelets that are sure to succeed because the trick to men’s jewelry is an utter lack of trickery: no doo-dads, little sparkle, low-sheen. (Gold wedding bands are a paragon of male adornment.) These low-key, recycled-glass bracelets go great with summer staples (jeans, white oxfords, grey heather pullovers) and are a palatable first step for guys skeptical about slapping on a bracelet. Plus, they’re made sustainably by workers earning a living wage—it’s the perfect entrée. [Available on jcrew.com]
