A Former Gap Designer Just Launched A Stylish New Menswear Brand
Here are the five JackThreads pieces worth wearing this fall.
OK, so JackThreads isn’t that new, but the men’s style site has gotten a serious revamp that’s been a year in the making under creative director Tony Kretten.
For 13 years, Kretten worked at Gap, rising to global head of men’s design. That 1969 denim line that is probably sitting in your closet right now? That relaunch was all him. He put in work at other notable brands you’ve probably heard of before that: Express Men’s, Guess Jeans, you know, the little guys.
Now Kretten is designing the in-house line for the revamped JackThreads website that launched this month. With plans on debuting a “new item every single day” according to the designer, the company has rolled out a staple wardrobe with a selection of outerwear, sweaters and denim, to be occasionally augmented by “trendy” pieces. Of course, the prices aren’t too bad either.
To wade through it all, we’ve picked five pieces worth grabbing from the launch to make it through fall.
The Rain Parka: $129.50
The Cable Knit Sweater: 69.50
Straight Fit Selvedge Denim: 69.50
The Popover:99.50
The Fall Gingham: $49.50
