The latest addition to Nike’s new ISPA (Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt) line is a special edition of the recently minted Air Max 720 sneakers.
The futuristic design offers an aggressively tactical look and function that sneaker-savvy site Hypebeast calls a “ninja-like theme,” with reflective details, removable heel tabs, and a rope lacing system.
A synthetic-and-textile upper offers flexible support, while a spattering of circular mesh openings offer extra breathability.
Two colorways will be available, both of which make an aesthetic statement. The Black/Reflect silver version gets a glistening silver Swoosh and orange highlights, while the Summit White/Black/White version catches the eye with blue and black highlights on a white backdrop.
Nike describes ISPA as a program that “focuses on improving interaction with the environment” for people whose commute involves walking three to five miles a day.
The Nike Air Max 720 ISPA sneaks certainly seem to fit the bill. Cop a pair for $209 beginning September 7 on retailers like Sneakersnstuff.
