Nike Unveils Fear of God 1 Sneakers in Triple Black
These blacked-out high-tops are built to pull double duty on the court and the street.
Fear of God and Nike have joined forces to release the sinister-looking Fear of God I sneaker in triple black.
The latest variation of the collaborative silhouette between the buzzy streetwear brand and Nike is just as suited for the streets as it is for the basketball court.
Covered from heel to toe in shades of “off-noir,” StockX notes that the FOG 1 features a breathable mesh upper, back zipper and cord laces. The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) heel and cage recall the Air Huarache Light, and the double-height Zoom Air heel unit is taken from the Air Max 180.
While this is the tenth Nike FOG I, past editions have been worn by superstars like Michael B. Jordan, Justin Bieber, Jamie Foxx, and Dwayne Wade.
“It is a shoe that should only be judged by the emotion it gives the kid when he first sees it — however it makes him feel,” Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo said of the original design, per Nike.
“We live in a day and age when images are leaked left and right, and products are leaked without consideration and emotional attachments. I’m aiming to give a visceral experience whether the kid sees it first on Ben Simmons coming into the arena or worn by his favorite athletes on court.”
The Nike Air Fear of God 1 Triple Black goes on sale for $350 on April 25 at 9:00 a.m. ET. Click here to sign up for a notification.
