Nike’s Self-Lacing ‘Back to the Future’ Sneakers Can Now Be Yours
Here’s your chance to get Marty McFly’s iconic kicks.
Back to the Future: Part II promised children of the ’80s that they would have auto-lacing sneakers by the year 2015. Nike’s a year late, but 100 of its long-awaited Nike Mags are now available through the luck of the draw.
Sneakerheads and Marty McFly wannabes alike can now make a $10 donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which thereby enters them into a lottery. The futuristic sneakers will be given to 100 lucky donators at the end of the lottery, which begins today, Oct. 4, and concludes on Oct. 11.

Chances of actually getting your hands on a pair are likely pretty slim, with this being one of Nike’s most-hyped releases in eons, and for good reason. The shoe’s auto-lacing mechanism conforms nearly perfectly to individual wearer’s feet, allowing for a fit that man would not be capable of achieving on his own.
