OG Supermodel Amber Valletta Stars In Spring J. Crew Campaign
Valletta shines as the lead character in the brand’s “Linen Love Story.”
J. Crew has tapped 1990s supermodel Amber Valletta as the face of the preppy fashion brand’s linen-forward spring campaign.
As the lead character in J. Crew’s so-called “Linen Love Story,” Valletta poses solo and alongside a suave counterpart while donning a variety of looks, including wide-leg linen pants paired with either a cropped t-shirt or a white blazer and polka dot bikini top; a black Gywneth slip skirt; a white Bungalo maxi popover dress; and the Etienne oversized shirt in Baird McNutt Irish linen.
Meanwhile, the male model–who happens to be Valletta’s boyfriend, Teddy Charles—wears J. Crew’s Ludlow slim-fit suit jacket and Crosby Classic suit paint near a parked ’80s-era Porsche 911.
In addition to working with J. Crew in the ’90s and more recently in 2015, Valletta had posed for scores of top designers over her long career, including Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Valentino, Gucci, Versace and Calvin Klein. She first appeared on a J. Crew catalogue cover in 1995.
