The Older Than Old School Timex

Classic stripes and classy face.

This is an odd couple we love: The 400-plus year-old Hudson Bay Company, maker of the iconic striped blankets, has teamed up with World War 2-era watchmaker Timex and, though that combination might seem anachronistic, the result is actually just chronographic: the HBC x Timex Vintage Multi-Stripe Watch. Somehow, two companies heavily rooted in their respective eras have worked together to create a timeless watch. The nylon strap is slender but sturdy, and the classic Timex watchface—simple, clean, with a red second hand—is easily read at a glance. With added modern(-ish) Indiglo technology, this is an all-hours weekend timepiece. History might not always be on your side, but it definitely works on your wrist. [$95; thebay.com]
