In an effort to freshen up its staid preppy image, J.Crew has been dropping buzzy sneaker collaborations that put the class back in classic megabrands like New Balance and Nike.

Now, they’re going for broke with a truly unprecedented three-way sneaker collaboration with Packer and Asics Tiger, a brand that was last red-hot in the ’90s.

The Packer x J.Crew x Asics Tiger 1907 Collection is inspired by some of the snazzy dress shoes Packer has offered, like old-school bucks and oxfords.

The sneaker most clearly references Asics Tiger with the serpentine crisscross on the sides along with the use of triple-density sole, GEL technology cushioning.

The style hews closely to that of the GEL-LYTE III running shoe, which was first introduced in 1990 but has been going strong sense.

J.Crew handsomely wrapped the sneaker up in suede and leather, and made it available in four distinct options: The Oxblood Leather, The White Buck, The Navy Buck and The Charcoal Suede.
