Persol Teams With A.P.C. For Rare Sunglasses Collab
The 649-style frames were made famous in the 1961 movie “Divorce, Italian Style.”
Persol 649 sunglasses was originally designed in 1957 for tram-drivers in Torino, Italy, but shot to style icon status after actor Marcello Mastroianni wore them in the classic movie Divorce, Italian Style in 1961.
Now, for their first brand collaboration in half a century, Persol has joined forces with A.P.C. to create three all-new versions of the 649 model: transparent green with gradient brown lens, transparent brown with gradient green lens and matte white with grey gradient lens.
The stylish trio come in canvas and brown leather cases and retail for $370.
