‘Most Luxurious’ G-Shock Ever Is Made of 18K Gold and Available for Pre-Order Now
Only two of these ultra-exclusive gold watches will be sold in the U.S.
G-Shock announced its “most expensive” watch ever earlier this year, and now the Casio-owned brand is officially taking pre-orders for the golden digital stunner.
Virtually every component of the ultra-exclusive “18K Pure Gold” G-Shock, from the case, bezel and bracelet to the screws, is crafted from the hand-polished precious metal.
According to the company, this is also the first watch in the world to feature something called a “gallium arsenide solar power system.” So there’s that.
But it wouldn’t deserve the G-Shock name if the 18K gold beauty didn’t boast an array of rugged features, including shock and water resistance, a multi-band radio, full-auto calendar, 24-hour timer, LED backlight, and five-set daily alarm.
It’s also billed as as the “most luxurious” release in G-Shock’s 35-year history. It sure as hell better be, considering it comes with a staggering $70,000 price tag.
That valuation is higher than four of the five entrants on Maxim’s recent list of gorgeous gold luxury watches, but it’s still not even close to the ultra-luxe Bell & Ross BR-X1 Tourbillon Rose Gold’s $188,000 ask. Just in case you’re keeping track.
You’ll have to act fast and pre-order now if you want the 18K Pure Gold G-Shock, as only two will be shipped to the U.S.—head to Casio’s website for more details.
