Roger Moore’s Classic 007 Omega Seamaster Can Now Be Yours

This James Bond-worn watch is heading to auction.

Only a select few watches are suitable enough to be worn on the wrist of 007 himself: In recent years, that’s meant an Omega timepiece, specifically something like the Omega Seamaster.

And as James Bond anniversary collections abound, it should come as no surprise that a watch worn by the longest-running superspy is set to fetch a hefty sum at auction.

As part of Sir Roger Moore’s personal collection, the famed actor’s own 50th Anniversary Omega Seamaster is set to see a bidding war via Bonham’s this fall.

The watch, initially released in 2012 to commemorate 50 years of Bond, is being auctioned off in a nod to the 50th anniversary of the start of Moore’s tenure as the famed MI6 agent.

And as with any timepiece worthy of Bond (James Bond), this edition of the Seamaster features plenty of stylish touch, including the use of tonal 007 logos set on the sleek black dial.

It’s also outfitted with a black unidirectional rotating bezel, which has a red “50” marking in a nod to the anniversary.

The watch also features a special gift inscription from the famed Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, along with the iconic Omega logo.

As Bonham’s says, the watch falls in line with the 007 ethos, so to speak: “Black tie, fast cars, and shaken Martinis – it has to be Bond.”

Fittingly, the watch will be up for auction on New Bond Street in London on October 4th, with bidding starting at more than $20,000. n
