Ryan Gosling’s scratched-up mug, scorched suit and busted knuckles present a picture of an embattled superspy in the Tag Heuer ambassador’s latest campaign, but his Carrera watch shines like new.

The Swiss watchmaker is capitalizing on Gosling’s starring role in Netflix’s most expensive movie yet, The Gray Man. The actor plays Sierra Six, a CIA-sanctioned dealer of death who’s being hunted by a former cohort in the $200 million action-thriller helmed by Avengers filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo.

And as Gosling said in a statement, “Six is an agent whose life is on the line, every second of the day and he needs a watch that’s got him covered. It takes precision and dedication for him to survive, and so it seemed like the perfect fit for him to wear the TAG Heuer Carrera.”

Specifically, Gosling is rocking a few variants from the Tag’s 13-piece Carrera Three Hands collection, featuring a design first introduced in the early 2000s but updated for the 2020s.

All of them glisten with a brushed and polished stainless steel dial, providing contrast against the dimly-lit settings of Sierra Six’s nighttime operations. Black and brown alligator straps as well as a stainless steel bracelet are paired with 39mm and 41mm versions of the Carrera Three Hands.

The watch collection ranges in price from $2,750 to $3,500, depending on size and features, like day-date. The Gray Man will premiere in theaters for a one-day-only limited release July 15 before it hits Netflix on July 22.
